W. Ridgeway Tam O'Shanter Pitchers
Item Details
A pair of W. Ridgway & Company stonewear relief molded pitchers. Motif on both is illustration of Robert Burns’ poem ‘Tam O’Shanter.’ Both have 1835 mark. Each has two holes in top rim where lid was once attached. Small pitcher is fawn color and larger pitcher is light blue. Take note of the hand grasping the handle in the design.
Condition
Blue pitcher has some discoloration. Fawn pitcher has staple repair in bottom rim (possibly from when manufactured) and a small chip at hole in upper rim.
