Original Adam McIver Illustration, Titled "Major"
Item Details
An original Adam McIver charcoal and ink illustration on a vintage portrait. Titled ‘Major’. Circa 2009. McIver was born and raised in Kentucky, but spent the last five years pursuing creative endeavors in Chicago. His work often combines his love for the style of Saturday morning cartoons with found objects or photos to present a surreal juxtaposition of the real and unreal. Done on a vintage portrait of a distinguished older gentleman and the matte surrounding the portrait, this illustration depicts 13 somewhat less-distinguished older gentlemen. This portrait was purchased at a thrift shop in Chicago prior to McIver illustrating it. Set behind glass, in a black metal frame. ‘Signed’ with the artist’s logo in the bottom right corner. The back of the frame is stamped with the artist’s logo, individually numbered (1 of 1), and signed.
Condition
Significant wear to the matte of the portrait which is consistent with age. This includes light staining, a tear, and an oval shaped sticker residue stain.
Dimensions
