Vintage Drexel Mahogany Dining Table and Chairs for Twelve

Item Details

A vintage mahogany, double pedestal dining table and twelve chairs by Drexel Furniture. This double pedestal dining table, with splayed snake fee and acanthus leaf base, includes carved apron corner details and ogee top edge. The table includes six chairs with a shield-shaped back and spade feet (one with arms) and six chairs with a rectangular top rail, carved splat and straight molded legs (two with arms). All twelve chairs are upholstered with a blue and cream floral pattern. The table without leaves is 66’ wide by 42’ deep. The table includes three leaves (as shown), each 12’ wide, however, only one includes an integral apron. With all three leaves installed the table is 102’ wide x 42’ deep. Ten chairs fit comfortably, but twelve chairs are included, and can be pulled up at the ends. Table is marked ‘Hardwood House by Drexel’. The shield-back chairs are not Drexel. Please note, while other items are shown in these photographs, only the dining table and twelve chairs are included.

Condition

Some light wear consistent with age on chairs and table legs. Table surface excellent condition.
