John Ruthven "Bengal Tiger"

An original offset lithography print by prevalent Ohio wildlife artist John A. Ruthven (b. 1924), this print is a signed, in plate and in pencil, artist’s proof that’s part of a limited edition 9/30, numbered in pencil to the bottom left hand corner. This print, entitled ‘Bengal Tiger,’ features a bounding Bengal Tiger with four paws off the ground in fast pursuit of some prey. The print is immaculately presented in a handsome wooden frame, beautifully stained, with a white mat to edge, that’s fortified by a large marbled mat, with bevelled edge, under glass. There is a signed note to back, that reads ‘To Vicky with best wishes -John A. Ruthven.’ Certificate of authenticity also to back.
