Hank Aaron Hillerich and Bradsby Promotional 715 Baseball Bat

A Hank Aaron commemorative baseball bat from the 1970s comprises this lot. The Magnavox company had the Hillerich & Bradsby Company create a bat to honor the Atlanta Braves star when he broke Babe Ruth’s career home run record of 714. The plaque on the bat reads, ‘715 Hank Aaaron Braves Vs Dodgers April 8, 1974 Pitcher Al Downing Serial No. 22976’. The barrel has Hank’s name in script, ‘Henry Aaron’, ‘Magnavox’ is in bold letters above his name and ‘COMMEMORATIVE BAT’ below his name. The bat is brown and the plaque is gold in color. The lettering on the bat is gold color. The ‘Hank Aaron’ on the plaque is in script. This is a beautiful bat that honors one of the classiest players to ever play the game. Hank was inducted into baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1982. Magnavox sells electronics and in the 1970s this bat came with a purchased television set.
