Mother of Pearl Handled Sterling Ferrules Flatware Collection
Item Details
A mother of pearl handled sterling silver ferrules flatware boxed collection. The collection includes twelve knives and twelve matching dinner forks from Meridian Cutlery Co., 1855, marked ‘Sterling’ on the center ferrule. Together with another set of twelve complementing salad forks from unknown maker, also marked ‘Sterling’ on the center ferrule and another set of six complementing shrimp forks that are marked ‘Made In England EPNS’, electroplated nickel silver. The entire vintage, circa 1920, collection is housed in a large hinged wooden case with textured cover and felt lining. The box marked ‘The Easterling Company’.
Condition
These are vintage pieces and show signs of use evidenced by some tarnishing of the steel blades and would benefit from cleaning.
