An antique Singer sewing machine. This Singer, model number B982731, circa 1905, is an example of the popular model 27, a sturdy steel machine housed in a wooden cabinet with a treadle. The cabinet housing the sewing machine has a thin wood veneer with a dark finish. The moving parts of the machine are in working condition; when properly threaded, the treadle powers the sewing action of the machine.

The designs on the sewing machine are quite worn. The metal shows some rust and several of the wooden knobs of the drawers are broken.
