A collection of duck decoy pottery pitcher and six mugs by Bybee Pottery. Bybee is the oldest existing pottery west of the Alleghenies. Each mug features an image of a different duck decoy with a brief description of each decoys origin or other information. Decoys include Drake Widgeon, Drake Pintail, Sleeping Black Duck, Drake Mallard, Drake Canvas Back and Canada Goose. The Bybee Pottery pitcher has an image of a Drake Canvas-Back, and includes the statement ‘Drake Canvas-back. Which was found in a boat house on the Delaware River near Bristol, Pa. Origin and maker unknown but decoy was reportedly shot over by President U.S. Grant.’ This collection also includes six duck drink coasters with a cork back.
