Vintage F.B. Rogers Silver Plate Weighted Serving Tray
Item Details
A vintage F.B. Rogers silver plate, weighted serving tray. This sturdy tray, silver plate on copper, is supported on four ornate feet. The tray has a beaded pattern around the edge and the a classic, formal floral pattern stamped across the face. The bottom of the tray is stamped with the F.B. Rogers name and crown logo, as well as the year of the company’s founding in Shellburne Falls, MA. Founded in 1883, F.B. Rogers was absorbed as a division of National Silver Co. in 1955. Note the maker’s mark is imperfectly stamped, the mark actually reads ‘B. Rogers Silver Co.’
Condition
Silver plate is worn thin in a few places so that the copper underneath is beginning to show through. Piece would benefit from polishing.
