A set of books in a variety of genres including travel narratives, biographies, political nonfiction, and one collection of short fiction stories. Titles include Homecoming (1946), by Joseph Wechsberg, a fictional travel narrative about an American returning to his birth country of Czechoslovakia after World War II; Meet the Spaniards (1931), a non-fiction travelogue of Spain by Henry Albert Phillips; How Amusing! (1929) a collection of humorous short stories by Denis Mackall; Since Then: the Disturbing Story of the World at Peace (1930) by Sir Philip Gibbs, about the fragile nature of the peace between the World Wars; The Great Pierpoint Morgan (1949), a biography of banker J.P. Morgan by Frederick Lewis Allen; and finally Twenty Years as a Military Attache (1937) by T. Bentley Mott, and autobiography which also includes information on many famous political and military figures of the early 20th century whom Mott encountered. All six volumes are bound in hardcover, and all except Meet the Spaniards are in their original dust covers.
