Antique Paper Mache and Cloth Dolls with Straw Bodies

A pair of antique paper mache and cloth dolls with straw bodies. Perhaps made in Germany, these incredible ‘twin’ dolls have jointed arms and legs and are adorned in intricate Dutch style dresses with knickers and bonnets. The dolls have ‘real’ hair (possibly mohair) that has thinned considerably, which is to be expected for any gals of this age.

Condition

Wear and condition are consistent with age. Dolls have thinning hair, some chipping to her heads and could certainly use baths.. One doll has a loose head which needs resecurring. A little tlc may be in order as these are indeed old gals who’ve led busy lives.
