An original signed and numbered limited edition linocut by North American Lac Seul First Nation artist Allen Angeconeb (1955 – ). This piece is titled ‘Ahneesheenahpay Myth of Creation’, rendered in four panels. The artist has chosen to use stark white ink to a black background to tell this visual story steeped in tradition. This piece is pencil numbered 8/30 to the bottom left, pencil titled to the bottom center and pencil signed by the artist to the bottom right. This piece was created in 1986. Presented under glass with a black and white custom cut mat in a blue-grey metal frame. Allen Angeconeb is proud to be part of the thousands of years of Anishaabe visual story telling. He began drawing when he was five years old and sold his first painting at thirteen. His work has been appreciated in shows and galleries throughout North America, the United States, and Europe.
