Consider H. Willett Co. Cherry Dining Table and Chairs
Item Details
A beautiful cherry dining room table and 6 chairs by the Consider H. Willett Co. of Louisville, Kentucky. Each chair features a crest rail with a lathe-turned spiral design, a rectangular back splat with concave sides and an incised line border, and side supports which are also adorned with incised lines and curve seamlessly down to form the legs. All four legs are curved inward, and there are raised circular medallions adorning the curves at the top of the front legs. The seats are upholstered in three-tone green fabric with floral designs. Additionally, one of the six chairs has armrests with a scrolled shape and incised lines along the top surface. The chairs are from the early to mid 20th century; Consider H. Willett Co. operated from the 1930s-1960s, reaching the height of their popularity and production in the late 1940s to early 1950s. The Duncan Phyfe dining table features three splayed legs with round accents and brass caps to the feet. There are pads for this table.
