Guerlain Parfum des Champs Elysees in a Baccarat Turtle Flacon

Item Details

An amazing sealed Guerlain Parfum des Champs Elysees in a magnificent Baccarat crystal Turtle flacon. The 2 fluid oz. parfum is a dream, created in 1904 by Jacques Guerlain, and is best described as a woody floral chypre, with top notes of bergamot, violet, and lavender; middle notes of orange blossom, rose, jasmine and tuberose; and base notes of orris, clove, oakmoss, patchouli, sandalwood, civet, and musk. The exquisite Baccarat crystal bottle, numbered 348/1300, is the flacon design #284 which was created to celebrate the opening of the new Guerlain boutique at 68, Avenue des Champs-Elysee, Paris, which was not complete until 1914. The turtle shape, created by Charles Mewes, reflected the irony of the slowness of the construction work on the new shop. The flacon is acid etched with the Baccarat and Guerlain marks to the verso.
