A Titian reproduction by Frank Mason. This beautiful painting was done by renowned master painter Franke Mason after Titian’s famous painting ‘The Deposition of Christ.’ Mason’s painting is done with oil on canvas and framed in a beautiful 3.25’ wide textured gold frame with red accents. There is a picture light attached that is ready to he hardwired. Mason was a celebrated teacher. His painting, the Resurrection of Christ, can be viewed in Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. In 1962, he was commissioned to paint 8 large paintings of the Life of St. Anthony. These paintings were permanently installed in the 11th Century Church of San Giovanni de Malta, in Venice, alongside a painting by Giovanni Bellini. He became the first painter to receive Cross of Merit, Prima Classe since Caravaggio. Please see link for more information on Frank Mason.
