Two Vintage Softballs in the Box
Item Details
A duo of vintage 1940s/50s softballs comprise this lot. The Offical Softball 12 inch has a football with ‘Frank Feldhaus Sons Athletic Goods’ stamped on the ball. Feldhaus ran a sporting goods store in Cincinnati, Ohio and was known for creating competitive soft ball leagues beginning in the mid 1940s. The second softball was made by J. DeBeer and Son out of Albany, New York. This softball is labeled as, ‘Official Day & Nite No. N 512’. Both come in their original boxes, they are not sealed.
Condition
- the Feldhaus ball was never used
- the DeBeers ball was used, it has dirt, scuff marks and “J.” written on a panel.
- the boxes are unsealed
