The front of this rare artifact, lists all of the games and opponents played in 1939. Massillon’s football record was 10-0 in 1939 and were Ohio State Champs and acclaimed National Champions. In 1939, the Massillon Tigers scored 460 points and only gave up 25. After a successful coaching career at Massillon High School, Paul Brown went on the coach at Ohio State, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cincinnati Bengals. Paul Brown led the Ohio State Buckeyes to their first National Title in 1942. The Massillon Tigers’s history and tradition is one of the greatest runs in American Football.
