Two Contemporary Artisan Greek Vases
Item Details
A group of two contemporary artisan Greek vases. A hand-painted vase with loose watercolor style purple background, gold geometric detail to neck, vine details in back and white to body, and images of Olympians and warriors to body rendered in a contemporary interpretation of antiquity. Metal hang tag from handle is marked but illegible. This vase is a modern take on the classic oinochoe form. A vase in cream and black in a petite modern take on the classic volute krater form. To one side a chariot pulled by pegasus and the other has figures dancing and playing lyre. Marked to bottom ‘Hand Made in Greece by Achilleas.’
