A Frank McElwain, well known Cincinnati artist, photo offset lithographic print of Fire Fighters I at the turn of the 19th-20th century. This energetic print features a tall stacks steamboat in the background, a ship employee scurrying for his life, and the fight fighters in a horse drawn carriage style fire engine bustling and hustling to/from the fire as everything is blanketed in falling snow. It is pencil signed and numbered 101 in an edition of 1000 to the lower left and print signed to the lower right. It is presented in a raised linen mat terminating in gold and forest green bevels with gold tone wooden frame. *Frank McElwain is an artist living in Cincinnati. He has diligently researched to ensure accuracy of architecture, transportation systems, and fashion for his paintings. Most of his Paintings are streetscapes depicting life in Cincinnati in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. The art is often gritty street-level views that reflect and an idealized view of a simpler time. His style is intended to allow one to enjoy a romantic and artistic view of the city.
