Rare Edition Artist Proof, John Ruthven

An extremely rare John A. Ruthven artist’s proof, titled Shawnee Indian-at Three Island Ford, Little Miami Scenic River. The artist’s proof depicts a Shawnee man watching ducks fly overhead whilst kneeling alongside his gun and canoe. Originally completed in 1989, printed with photo offset lithography. The print is double signed, in plate and pencil, to the bottom right hand edge of the image, and subsequently numbered “artist’s proof, 09/30” to the bottom left hand corner. The print is unframed and stored in original envelope.
