A set of four gorgeous antique hand-colored art prints by British-American artist and illustrator Pamela Coleman Smith, a.k.a. ‘Pixie’, dating from 1899. These four colorful pieces appear to have printed black outlines with hand-painted colors within, often with visible brushstrokes, and depict scenes of 19th century British country life. Each image is printed on a rectangular piece of paper which has been glued to a larger, thicker sheet of beige paper marked ‘Copyright 1899 by Pamela Coleman Smith’ at the lower left and numbered 3, 4, 5, and 9 in the upper right corner in pencil. All four pages are protected by an outer sheet of semi-transparent tracing paper.
