An original oil painting by listed artist, Itzchak Tarkay (1935-2012). The painting depicts a seated woman in a multi-color gown accented with a large black and white polka dotted collar. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Additionally, there is a photograph of a Bruria Tarkay, the artist’s wife, signing the piece, on the back of the canvas (see photo). Tarkay is thought to be one of the most influential artists of the early 21st century whose style has inspired other artists worldwide, as his introspective depiction of the female figure is both unique and timeless.
