1950s Vintage Pepsi-Cola Vending Machine Cooler

Item Details

A vintage Ideal 55 ‘slider box’ coin operated vending machine branded for Pepsi-Cola. This blue, retro cooler was produced in the 1950s by the Ideal Dispenser Company. It was made to dispense fifty bottles for 10 cents each (which appears to have been later changed to 25 cents). Embossed logo to the front. The coin mechanism is included, but detached. It also includes the slider rack, an attached bottle opener and it is on castors. Behind the door, is access to insert the bottles for dispensing and a cool holding area underneath. There is no key and the door is currently locked. The compressor is a Tecumseh model P91L.

  • Located in the garage for easy pickup.

Condition

In original, un-restored condition. Currently not working. Power cord is mostly severed. Machine appears to have most of parts that it needs to be restored. Rust and scratched paint in spots. Rust inside. No cover plate on the coin machine.
