Antique 1800s Slat Back Double Wagon Seat
Item Details
A wonderful antique New England double wagon bench in maple with woven splint seat. This early 1800s piece is in exceptionally fine condition and a form that is rarely found. Features a slat back, arms and supports with decorative turned accents and a double stretcher base. Back slats are mortised in place with wooden peg construction. Entire piece appears to be perfectly fitted together without the aid of any metal hardware.
Condition
one small wear spot on the wicker seat and an old repaired chip in wood.
