A pair of large hand painted porcelain Orma dolls. This beautiful pair of dolls includes an Asian man with a fu manchu mustache and a long braided ponytail at the crown of his head and a lovely female with an interesting hat and long braided hair. Both figures are dressed in traditional silken garb, and have intricate hand painted features. Heads and hands are made of porcelain. Bodies are plush. Tags on backs read, ‘An Original Orma Doll Handpainted Porcelain and Fabric, Entirely Handcrafted in Thailand’. Dolls sit on lovely wicker style chairs and come with a fringe lined parasol.
Condition
Clothing shows some wear in the form of discoloration. White porcelain faces are slightly yellowed. Unbraided portions of hair is slightly mussed. One side of the man’s mustache is missing. Seats of chairs could use light cleaning. Please attend sale preview for personal assessment.
