A signed print of Mt. Adams numbered 58/100. The artist has captured all the landmarks of this historic place named after President John Quincy Adams. Print is signed in lower right side Thomas Baum? Presented with wide mat and silver tone frame. President Adams traveled from Massachusetts to Cincinnati for the dedication of Mitchel’s Observatory in 1843. The prosperity of our city created smog and unfavorable telescope viewing. Eventually the observatory was moved to Hyde Park Observatory Place where it is still in active use today. Previously Mt. Adams was named Mount Ida.
