Original Oil on Canvas by Stanislaw Okulicz - Winter Cityscape

An original circa 1955 painting, oil on stretched canvas, by listed Polish artist Stanislaw Okulicz (b. 1909) of a Gniezno, Poland street in winter. The piece is in a heavy, decorative wood frame with a narrow linen matte. Okulicz was born in Warsaw, Poland and studied at the School of Art Decoration and Art Paintings as well as the Academy of Art in Warsaw. Prior to and after World War II, he exhibited his work often in his home city. He also exhibited in several cities in the Soviet Union including the capital city of Moscow. His works can be found in the Museum of History in Warsaw.
Condition
- the frame has just a few minor blemishes which do not detract from the piece at all.
Dimensions
- measurements are to the frame edges. The canvas measures 24″ × 36″ to the stretcher edge.
