A 1940 Philadelphia Athletics Scorecard is represented in this lot. This Scorecard’s cover has wonderful graphics; each team in the American League is characterized by its ‘Team Mascot.’ The Athletics played the New York Yankees and it was scored in pencil. This Scorecard has some great pictures: a team picture on the inside front cover. Frankie Hayes is sliding into Tresh; Sam Chapman is shown beating out an infield hit and Bob Feller trying to pick him off. Best to attend our Preview.
