A set of 15 hardcover volumes of ‘Modern Eloquence’ edited by Ashley H. Thorndike, copyright 1928 by Modern Eloquence Corporation of New York. Volumes I-III titled ‘After-Dinner Speeches’, Volumes IV-VI titled ‘Business Industry Professions, Volumes VII-IX titled ’Public Affairs’, Volumes X-XII titled ‘Historical Masterpieces’, Volume XIII titled ‘Famous Lectures’, Volume XIV tilted ‘Anecdotes Epigrames, Volume XV tilted ’Public Speaking’. The set is designed with burgundy covers with gilt script and design to spines. The covers have embossed title and design to cover.
