A Steiff limited edition museum collection replica of 1932 ‘Jumbo’ elephant, in box. This iconic elephant displays beautiful Steiff craftsmanship in materials and design, with adorable blue eyes, genuine mohair that is handpainted, the ability to be posed in a variety of positions and head movement when tail is turned. This elephant displays chest tag, ear button and white tag with 0125/24 to front and ‘Made in Germany 1988 L. Ed. 4,000 pcs. 0000987’ to reverse side. The Steiff Museum opened in 1980, comemmorating the company’s 100th annniversary with a large variety of iconic Steiff creations. The ‘Museum Collection’ began in 1984, and each piece offered is a limited edition. The replica 1932 ‘Jumbo’ elephant was released in 1988 and restricted to 4,000.
