Victorian Eastlake Cherry Bed
Item Details
A fine Victorian Eastlake style bed of cherry, with aesthetic details. The headboard features a shaped crest with a sunflower and leaf carving, both raised and incised over a row of carved, stylized dogwood blooms. Below is a stylized-shell and leaf carving, flanked by a carved rosette to either side. The footboard has related details, while the original rails, also of cherry, have shaped brackets at both ends. May not accept a standard box mattress (54’ width), as the width between rails is itself 54’, with no allowance.
Condition
- newer finish in a very light cherry color.
