Three Vintage Silver-Plated Dishes

Item Details

A set of three lovely silver-plated dishes, circa mid-20th century. The first is a simple circular plate with a plain rim, the second has a scalloped edge and a rim textured into curves that spiral inward to the flat center, and the third has an edge of alternating concave and convex curves with points where they meet. All three pieces are also engraved. The first reads ‘Bonnie C.O. 4th Prize M.D.T.C. Feb 19, 1956’, the second reads ‘Bonnie 4th Place M.D.T.C. Feb. 17, 1957’, and the third simply reads ‘Bonnie’. Based on some of the other M.D.T.C. inscriptions on other items in this sale, these appear to have been awarded as prizes in a horse show.

Condition

- fair to good. The plain circular plate is the most badly tarnished, especially on the rim and underside, whereas the other two pieces are mostly tarnished on the underside, although the scalloped dish has some discoloration to the rim as well.
