Antique Brothers Schwalb China Teapot and Covered Sugar Bowl
Item Details
An antique china matching pair teapot and covered sugar bowl made by Brothers Schwalb of Czechoslovakia, known for their quality transferware china pieces produced between 1882 and 1912. The pieces both have the trademark green rectangle overglaze stamp ‘B S M’ and the pattern numbered in gilt ‘1850’ on the bottom. A dainty motif of blue and white daisies and fine leaves and vines in brown. Coordinates with the covered vegetable dish and platter listed as item 14LEX049-035.
Condition
Teapot is in good condition, a hairline full thickness crack is noted running down the body of the sugar bowl, this does not appear to hamper function.
