Vintage "Class Struggle" Board Game

Item Details

A vintage ‘Class Struggle’ board game, released in 1978. When this Marxist alternative to the classic game Monopoly was released, the United States and the U.S.S.R. were still fully engaged in the Cold War. Noted Marxist scholar Bertell Ollman created the game to illustrate the inequalities inherent in Capitalist economic structures. The cover of the game features a picture of Karl Marx and Nelson Rockefeller arm wrestling. The game is similar in structure to Monopoly, and includes six player pieces, chance cards, game currency, and an instructional booklet.
