Dresden Germany Plate in Meissen Style by Richard Klemm

A Dresden Germany handle plate by Richard Klemm. One of the original Dresden companies, founded and registered by Karl Richard Klemm studio in 1869. Klemm’s mark includes his initials with a crown. His studio frequently decorated porcelain in the Meissen or Vienna style, with porcelain from the Meissen factory. This hand-painted plate is divided into four panels, with finely detailed hand gilding around the edges. Two panels are hand-painted Jean-Antoine Watteau style scenes, interspersed by two panels of hand-painted florals on a pink ground. (Circa 1880s.)
