An original oil painting on canvas by artist Julie Morrow DeForest (American, 1882-1979), titled Dubious Weather. Painted in an intensely colored Impressionist style with heavy brush strokes, Dubious Weather depicts a small town boat launch and dock during a dry season, painted in her early years, before her marriage to Cincinnati business executive Cornelius DeForest. From the DeForest estate, this painting is signed ‘Julie Morrow’ on the lower left, with a note on the rear marked ‘Miss Julie Mathilde Morrow,’ and is framed in a wide, ivory tone wood frame.
