A Briggs-Carmen adjustable bracelet with original box. This Victorian bracelet is comprised of a series of interlocking gold-tone pieces, some with scroll decoration, that stretch to fit over the hand and make a lattice pattern around the wrist when worn. The bracelet was patented on May 20, 1890, and February 5, 1901, by the Briggs Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts.
