Item Details
An original watercolor painting on paper by well listed artist E.H. Marten (1886-1910). This painting is entitled ‘Scottish Harbor Scene,’ and is signed by the artist to the lower right. It is immediately clear to the viewer that Marten was an artist who prided himself on attention to detail. Every physical detail in this painting has been accounted for, the eye need not want for greater precision. The harbor is alive with movement as the ships come in, motivated no doubt by the approaching storm. This artwork is presented in a gilded wooden frame with double matting and hand bordered line.
