An original, hyperreal, still life, oil on canvas painting by well regarded contemporary, Ohioan, painter Matthew Kinsey. The artist’s work is intentionally reflective of the painting styles purported by Ateliers of the 19th Century who preached a pronounced doctrine of realism. The artist has shown extensively throughout the Ohio Valley region and is also a consultant for Utrecht Art Supplies. This dramatic still life, interestingly composed, and breathing with light, is exemplary of the artist’s proficiency as a painter and draughtsman. It is signed to the lower right and presented in a generously sized wooden frame with handsome patina.
