A large trompe l’oiel print on canvas, part of the Duorum Alteae series, depicting classical architecture and botanical motifs in a style resembling an antique wall mural. A large central archway flanked by pillars is surmounted by stone scrollwork around a blue oval panel, with rich blue accent lines adorning the architecture. This archway is hung with garlands of flowers, leaves and even fruit; a large planter overflowing with flowers also stands under the archway. Framed in gold painted wood carved with curling leaf patterns and an abstract swirling geometric inner border.
