Original Salvador Dali Lithograph "Le Gran Pavon"

Item Details

An original lithograph signed to the lower right-hand corner by the father of Surrealism Salvador Dali (1904-1989), titled ‘Le Gran Pavon.’ The print is numbered at the lower left-hand corner 74 in a very limited edition of just 125 prints. The interested buyer may rest assured that this is in fact an authentic Dali lithograph as the print has been signed to the verso by Albert Fields, who created and maintained the Dali Archives until he passed away in 2003. The original painting, created for the purpose of being printed as a lithograph, sold at Christie’s for over a quarter of a million dollars. The paper for this print was pre-signed by Dali before the artist’s death; as was his custom, the rights for the painting were purchased from Dali’s manager Enrique Sabater by publisher Bill Levine in 1996. The original painting was produced in 1979, and features an in-plate signature to the bottom center that reflects such. The print is presented to you in a wooden and plaster frame with silver detailing around the edges. The print is floated on a black mat.
