A group of about two dozen texts consisting of medical reference and the practice of medicine. Among these vintage titles are the ‘Manual of Cardiology,’ by Thomas Dry, published 1943; Volume IV of the Practical Medicine Series, ‘Gynecology,’ published 1916; ‘A New Manual of Surgery’ by Albert Ochsner and Nelson Percy, fourth edition published 1915 and inscribed ‘Compliments of the Authors, Augustana Hospital 1919.’ A few of the other works are ‘A Text-Book of Physiology’ no publication date c. early 20th century; ‘Orthopedic Surgery’ Second Edition, Jones and Lovett, 1929; and ‘The Practice of Urology,’ by Leon Herman, 1938.
Condition
“A New Manual of Surgery” has a worn paper cover, but binding is still pretty good on this book and on the others as well. All have been used, and many have inscriptions or owner’s name written inside.
