Fiberglass Paint Palettes, Foster Art Guides, and Bird Guide
Item Details
A group of three fiberglass artist’s palettes, designed by Cincinnati artist Dale Benedict. The palette is light, well balanced, and fits comfortably on the arm and in the palm of the hand. Unlike other palettes with thumb holes, the Benedict Palette has a large, clear mixing area. The light colored plastic coated surface is smooth and allows for accurate color mixing and easy removal of oil paint. The six holes can hold a variety of brushes, angled, ready for instant reuse. By repositioning the hand holder knob, the palette sits at a slight incline on a table—an excellent feature for studio painting. This lot includes one large, one medium, and one small palette (complete with wooden knobs) and a pair of vintage Walt Foster landscape/seascape painting how-to books. The vintage Peterson bird guide (copyright 1947) is a great aid to the artist in the field.
Dimensions
Size of a large palette. The medium palette is approximately 30″ × 18″, and the small palette is about 26″ × 15″.
