An assortment of vintage hardcovers from The Modern Library Classics Collection, to include such titles as ‘O, Henry,’ ‘Les Miserables,’ ’Bulfinch’s Mythology,’ ‘The Complete Works of Homer,’ ‘The Writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson,’ ‘The Brothers Karamazov,’ and more. This collection of hardcovers, sewn-bound in full cloth with top of page edges stained, gilt titled spines and trademark art deco torchbearer, was inaugurated in 1917 and the vintage volumes have become collectible in their own right for their attractive appearance lining bookshelves of people’s homes. An impressive and stylish addition to one’s home library.
