Antique Rocking Chair with Cherry Finish

Item Details

A lovely antique rocker in hardwood with a rich cherry-colored finish. Many parts are lathe-turned, including the legs, spreaders, side posts, and back stiles. There is also a protrusion on the back from which two more lathe-turned stiles come out diagonally to brace the back. The crest rail is carved with a design incorporating a double scrollwork motif and a design like a stylized seashell.
