A set of two Walt Burton (1935- ) Playboy Club black-and-white photographic prints of a bunny’s contact head shots and candid image. Burton began his photography career in the 1950s and was Cincinnati’s Playboy magazine district photographer from 1963-1966. The first Playboy Club opened in Chicago in 1960, later coming to Cincinnati in 1964. The club maintained its reputation as a place for party, cocktails, music and beautiful ‘bunnies’ until it closed its doors in 1984. The contact print photograph features eleven various posed head shots of the same ‘bunny,’ dated to the reverse October 23rd, 1965. The other photograph features the same bunny in the contact prints bending backwards to pour a cocktail for a seated couple, numbered one of six to the reverse. The photographs are stamped by the artist and marked to the reverse. Unframed.

Condition

- slight curling and scuffs to the edges. The artist has written in pen to the reverse. The contact print has binder ring hole punches.
