Native American Made Hide Scabbard, Arrows, and Bows
Item Details
An interesting grouping of Native American items that include a quiver made of animal hide, and arrows that include several tipped with flint arrowheads and that have feather flights tied on by sinew. This group includes a vintage black and white photo of a Plains Native American dance, along with two wooden bows. (One of the shorter arrows has a label indicating it was ‘Hand made by Ariakara.’ This would seem to indicate the Arikara tribe, who referred to themselves as the Sahnish, from eastern Nebraska.) There are also two smaller sets of quivers with arrows, some which are vintage toys.
