Pigeon Forge Pottery Bowl, Signed
Item Details
A Pigeon Forge pottery bowl in the iconic black and white lava or volcanic glaze. The bowl is signed by Douglas Ferguson and dated 1971. This particular glaze is one of the favorite glazes used by Pigeon Forge Pottery, which was started by the Fergusons in 1947 in an old tobacco barn. The pottery closed in 2000 upon Douglas Ferguson’s death, although a fire destroyed the facility in 1957.
