A fantastic limited edition complete thirty-volume set of William Makepeace Thackeray’s ‘Complete Works,’ edited by Walter Jerrold and illustrated by Charles E. Brock. The Chiswick edition, published in New York by Fred De Fau and Company on wove paper with untrimmed edges, was limited to 1,000 copies in the United States and Canada, and this set is numbered 271. Hardcovers are bound in subtly ribbed olive cloth with gilt lettering and floral decorative accent on spine. Tissue covered color plate frontispieces feature scenes from author’s works which follow. Set includes unnumbered volumes (numbered here to indicated content of set): Volume I (‘Barry Lyndon’), Volume II (‘Philip’ vol. I), Volume III (‘Philip’ vol.
