A 1969 signed original gouache cityscape painting of Universal City by artist Mary Theresa Pike. The dramatic and colorful work features black urban architecture, shown in silhouette upon a vertical rainbow of green, yellow, and red. The buildings’ windows have the effect of being lit from within. An arched bridge and tall clock tower add interest. The work is signed to the lower left mat and within the piece, and is finished with a textured white mat and white-painted frame with black border.
